After talking to Arthur, and checking reviews on the BBB as he suggested, I accepted his "very fair price" for my house. He explained the upcoming process, clarified things for me, and respected my quirks and requests (having OCD and still living in the house, I wanted everyone who would go into my house to remove their shoes). Daniel was my point of contact for all the scheduling. He did a great job keeping me informed and working around my schedule. There was a misunderstanding about what was going to stay with the house, but it was cleared up in my favor. In the end, I only had to wait three days for my settlement payment. I would like to say I was at dire straits with our situation, the VA was not helping us for our disability we had faught for several months to keep things going, but was unable to meet the standard. So we thought we were going to have tile for a foreclosure until we found Daniel and Alex at bdhomebuyers, they were our life savers, first we tried to let them sell the home for us, but that did not work out the way we had hoped, but they came through with flying colors!! Found a family that would end assuming our VA loan which I might say is a lengthy process, they stood behind us all the way and helped us with every difficult situation and walked us through the process. In the end we able to find a family to purchase the home through that process and close after the assumption process, and did not have to foreclose, thus having us to file bankruptcy. All in all Daniel and Alex were such a great help and I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to sell their home, or even need assistance with selling or buying.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Arthur was great in communicating and trying to work with our unique circumstances regarding a POA. We were in pre-foreclosure and needed to sell quickly and had had an issue with the home where a traditional sale would not have been possible. They scheduled someone to come and fix the issue (which was supposed to be paid for by our insurance but BD never sent me the bill so I could turn it in so now we're scrambling to get that into our insurance). Then they sent an inspector who made the home out to be WAY worse than it was. Sewer line needed to be jetted. Otherwise everything with our home was entirely cosmetic and could have been repaired with a few thousand dollars. They tried to drop their offer by nearly 40,000 after telling me they wouldn't be dropping it anywhere near that much! And they promise their offers won't change and are NOT based off inspection cuz that's all supposed to be factored in at the start! 2 expensive issues FIXED relatively cheap but still they decreased their offer significantly. But this also wasn't entirely on them, they were being taken advantage of by a local contractor who wanted to gut our home and basically was gonna devalue it and was trying to double charge them or charge them for things we had already done when we remodeled. Thankfully, due to our situation, they won't be working with him again. Had to request a dumpster for unwanted items (which most other companies offer standard) which i never got answer on and was told the property had to be emptied upon closing (which most other companies I've spoken to that don't provide dumpsters will allow refuse to be left). Refused their offer and went with a LOCAL company who actually knows the value of our area and the unique to our neighborhood features our home has to offer! After we turned down their offer, Arthur was still amazing to work with. He went over the contractors estimate with me and the inspectors report piece by piece. After discussing it, their offer wouldn't have lowered nearly as much if not for the contractor's overpriced bid. Not gonna lie, I blew up a couple times and Arthur remained professional and courteous and always put me at ease. Wish it would have worked out with them, but by the time we both realized what happened, we had already turned down their offer and accepted another due to the tight timeline we were under. They are working from out of state for us, so they have to rely on their contractors being honest, so just ask if you have questions and Arthur will gladly go over any questions or concerns you have. And I've heard of companies who try to refuse release from contract, but within a couple days of turning down their offer, Arthur sent our termination of contract, no hassle at all. He even took time during a family emergency to call me AFTER we had terminated our contract to go over things with me. So if you go with them, I highly recommend working with Arthur!

There were a few hiccups along the way, for example historic rain caused basement flooding the day before the buyer’s inspector was scheduled to inspect the property - BD Homebuyers stepped up and arranged to have the basement pumped out and dried.  I don’t know how I would have managed the selling process from such a distance without their help.  Arthur and Alex were there every time I, or the vacant house, needed something.  I am forever grateful to them and would recommend their services to anyone in a similar situation.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They called me randomly out of the blue (I did not contact them first) and asked me a bunch of questions about my property. Then they texted me from a different number and offered me a very low amount to purchase my property. Their offer was less than I bought the house for over 10 years ago, and was about half of what it appraised for two years ago before I installed the new roof that I had told them about. The only reason I gave them two stars on the review instead of one is because they actually provided me with an offer.
